Supplies Accumulated by Ga. Fast day.

--A contemporary suggests that the provisions saved by those who observe the fast day should be set apart as a contribution to rein gee soldiers from Louisiana and other States outside of the Confederate army limits. A correspondent suggests, as an amendment to this, that such supplies be given to Confederate prisoners returned from Yankee prisons; and as a number of these are expected here to-day, it is further proposed that the provisions thus to accrue, or a part of them at least, may be sent in advance for their use. The energy recently displayed by a few citizens who united to provide a collation for our gallant boys thus returning after their long imprisonment from home, shows what may be done in this way. On that occasion, it is but just to say, the "Captain" of the Spotswood took the lead. Such exertions, if renewed to-day, assisted by the contributions of such as intend to fast to a really good purpose — by laying up food for the defenders of our liberties — will give to the returning Confederate soldiers the warmest and most appropriate welcome, while the burthen will fall lightly, as so many will share in it.
