Big ham.

--Yesterday morning about daylight, watchman Marcellus Ricks arrested one Cornelius Collins on Bank street, with a ham of bacon which would weigh about 30 pounds Collins who represented himself as belonging to the 20 Va. Artillery battalion, at first said he had drawn the ham as rations, but afterwards confessed he had stolen it from a market wagon. The case was brought before the Mayor yesterday, when Collins was sent to the Provost and the ham, which is believed to have been stolen from some one's meat-house, was retained to be called for.
