Alarm of fire.

--The alarm of fire at six o'clock last evening was caused by the accidental explosion of a small number of percussion caps in the Confederate percussion cap manufactory, on Brown's Island. The cause of the explosion is unknown. A great panic was created by it among the employees, and the cry of fire was raised. When the excitement had subsided it was ascertained that no one had been hurt, and no other damage done than the loss of the exploded caps. It was at first reported that two girls employed in the establishment had been burnt, but this proved untrue.
