An outburst of patriotism.

--As a fine body of Southern troops were passing up Main street yesterday afternoon a patriotic citizen, seeing one of them bareheaded, rushed out and placed upon his head the hat which he wore himself. From appearances it was entirely new, and could not be purchased at this time for less than one hundred dollars. In response to this gallant act three loud cheers were given by the soldiers, which was taken up and heartily joined in by the crowd who thronged the sidewalks.
