A free Distribution of caps.

--As a fine body of troops were passing down Broad street, on Saturday morning last, a merchant on Broad street, noticing many of them bareheaded, took from his store about fifty well-made cloth military caps, (all that he had on hand,) which he distributed among those who were minus that very useful article of apparel. This gentleman is a man of limited means, and the free contribution of so many caps might be considered as a most munificent donation.
