Negro impressments.

--We state, for the benefit of whom it may concern, that the Mayor has nothing whatever to do with the impressment of negroes to work on the fortifications or and the hospitals. The whole matter having been turned over to the Confederate authorities, Capt. Coke, enroling officer, now has in charge the execution of the business.
