--The alarm of fire, about 7 o'clock last evening, was caused by the partial burning of the dwelling-house of Mr R H Dibrell; on Main street, between 1st and Foushee sts. The building had been set on fire in the attic, and the roof, a portion of the third story, and all the furniture therein contained, were destroyed before the flames could be gotten under by the fire brigade, who responded promptly to the alarm. It is impossible to estimate Mr Dibrell's loss by this occurrence. Though it is very certain that the fire was the work of an incendiary, we have heard of no suspicion attaching to any one as yet.
