Probable Suicide.

--About two o'clock yesterday afternoon a negro girl, about eighteen years of age, was drowned in the canal at the foot of Myers's bridge. A few minutes before the occurrence she was discovered walking back and forth on the edge of the canal, and on being warned of the danger in going so close, replied petulantly that it was nobody's business but her own what she did, which fact leads to the belief that the act was premeditated. In about two hours afterwards her body was recovered, but the facts of the case being made fully known to Coroner Sanxay, no inquest was held.
