We have received from Dr. Jones, of the Navy Department, a little volume entitled "Register of the Commissioned and Warrant Officers of the Navy of the Confederate States to January 1, 1864." It contains a complete list of the officers of the Navy and Marine Corps, pay table of the officers, laws of the Navy, and General Orders and Circulars. It is a very useful book for reference, and seems to have been compiled with great care. In addition to the names of the officers, it gives the State of their nativity, the State from which appointed and of which a citizen, the date of original entry into the service and of present commission, and their present duty or station.
