Accident to a lady.

--About 10 o'clock yesterday morning, a lady, whose name we could not ascertain, while walking up Broad street, in the neighborhood of the Theatre, stepped upon a piece of muskmelon rind, and was thrown to the ground with great violence. She was picked up in a stunned condition and carried into a store near by, when it was found that she had sustained severe injuries about the head and face, and her left shoulder was dislocated.

Hardly a day passes that some person is not injured from this cause, and to put a stop to it severe penalties should be imposed upon every one who is caught throwing fruit peelings and melon rinds on the pavement in future.
