--Mr. John L. Liggon, a former energetic and polite attached of the Libby prison, has been promoted to the office of adjutant in Colonel Tucker's (Irish) battalion, and will leave the city in a few days with his command for an interior post in South Carolina. The battalion has been improvised from material eager to enlist in our cause, and will, doubtless, under the officers in command, win an enviable reputation for efficiency and loyal bearing.
