An Actress under fire.

--Miss Avonia Jones, on her late voyage down the Mississippi river from St. Louis to Memphis, had a perilous passage, the steamer in which she was being fired into by guerrillas and rebel batteries on the shore no less than three different times. Only by the daring of the pilot was the boat and passengers saved Miss Jones escaped bodily injury, but her trunks, wardrobe and baggage were riddled.
