Confederate States District Court.

Judge Halyburton had a short session yesterday.

A writ of habeas corpus was awarded upon the petition of Cyrus Gault, Jr., of Baltimore, who claims that he, being a citizen of a State not in the Confederacy, is entitled to a discharge from the military service of the Confederate States Government. The writ was made returnable on Wednesday.

The habeas corpus cases of Joshua Chilcutt, James M. Trevillian, Semon Koiner and Thomas M. Kean were all continued.

The court will meet again to-day.
