--The store room of James H. Stanton, residing on Clay street, near Brook avenue, was broken into on Tuesday night and robbed of between three and four hundred pounds of bacon, ten pounds of sugar, a box of coffee, seven or eight pounds of lard, and other articles in the grocery line, valued at about seven thousand dollars. Mr. Stanton's groceries were kept in the basement of his residence, and the thieves got to them by ripping off several slats to the shutters and hoisting the window, through which they passed in and out.
