The contemporary press are very kind to the old journal upon the occasion of its re-appearance.
They have done a generous thing in a very graceful way. Long life and success to them all. Our respect and regard for them will be an additional stimulus, that we may merit the appreciation of such good judges of newspaper excellence!
Moreover, we perceive that already the name "Dispatch" is appearing everywhere, credited with what it has to say about current events.
This is flattering — it is very agreeable to see that respectable name in respectable columns!
Pardon the conceit of the somewhat spoiled sheet — spoiled by a little too much flattery — if it ventures to say that this copying honors both him that gives and him that receives!
Since the "Dispatch" is seen in every paper, it must follow as a matter of course that it must be seen ere long in every house
--an event in anticipation of which we felicitate ourselves both on account of our own welfare and the good and well-being of the public, for whom we labor.
Neither they nor we can do without it!
