Robbery and Outrageous Assault upon ladies.

--On Wednesday evening, about six o'clock, three men, dressed in blue uniform, and supposed to be United States soldiers, went into the store of Mrs. Fauldhauber, on Sixth, between Marshall and Clay streets, and pretended that they wanted to purchase some goods. There was no one in the store at the time but the proprietress and a young lady, and the conduct of the men being such as to excite suspicion, Mrs. Fauldhauber closed the door, intending to send for a policeman and have them arrested. The men then snatched up a quantity of dry goods, and Mrs. Fauld-hanber screamed, when one of them seized her by the throat, choked and threw her upon the floor; and at the same time his two companions made a similar demonstration upon the young lady. They then made their escape, going up Clay street, and taking their plunder with them. One of the men left a cap behind, marked with the letter "F."
