Rev. Dr. Stiles, lately a chaplain in the Confederate army, preached at the South Church, (Rev. Mr. Carroll,) at New Haven, last Sunday. He was once one of the most popular preachers in New Haven, and his church was always crowded. Several years since Dr. Stiles was pastor of the Third Presbyterian Church in this city.--Cincinnati Gazette.
