ἡνίκα τοίνυν ἦν μὲν ὁ πόλεμος ἡμῖν ἐν Εὐβοίᾳ, Μέγαρα δὲ εἴχομεν καὶ Πηγὰς καὶ Τροζῆνα, εἰρήνης ἐπεθυμήσαμεν, καὶ Μιλτιάδην τὸν Κίμωνος ὠστρακισμένον καὶ ὄντα ἐν Χερρονήσῳ κατεδεξάμεθα δι᾽ αὐτὸ τοῦτο, πρόξενον ὄντα Λακεδαιμονίων, ὅπως πέμψαιμεν1 εἰς Λακεδαίμονα προκηρυκευσόμενον περὶ σπονδῶν.
