[32] As he was returning, some of the enemy attacked him and caused him trouble, whereupon, becoming1 angry, he ordered the cavalry to charge upon them at full speed, and the infantrymen within ten years of military age2 to follow the cavalry; while he himself with the rest of his troops came along in the rear. And they killed nearly thirty of the enemy's light troops and pursued the rest to the theatre in Piraeus.
