2. (a) serving as a means of comparison, (b) comparable (with) Cym. II. iii. 134* “ for your virtues.”
sb.. (a) one who is ‘full of comparisons,’ as above, (b) rival, compeer 1H4 III. ii. 67* “every beardless vain comparative.”
