squat lekythos
A lekythos distinguished by its squat, nearly spherical body. It resembles a standard lekythos which has had its body partially sliced off. The mouth is trumpet-shaped and the narrow neck is set off from the shoulder by a raised ledge moulding. It has a broad bottom and rests on a low ring-foot. The handle is usually a rounded strap.
