LIBIDA (Slava Rusă) Dobrudja, Romania.

Mentioned by Procopius (De aed. 4.7) as Ibida, but Theophylactus Simocatta (Historiae 1.8) uses the name Libidinon polis. A recently found Latin inscription (ca. A.D. 200) seems to confirm that the correct name was Libida.

The large late Roman site (4th-6th c.) was built over the ruins of an earlier Roman settlement (2d-3d c.). During excavations remains of a Christian basilica (6th c.) were uncovered.
