REYCROSS Yorkshire, England.

A castra aestivalia large enough to hold a legion, probably constructed during Agricola's campaign. Originally 11 gates were observed, three on each side except the shorter S side which had two, each defended by a tutulus. As rock lies near the surface no ditch has been dug except at the NE corner.
