SAINT-NIZIER-SOUS-CHARLIEU Loire, France.

An ancient site, known since 1884, in the Sornin valley at the place called Les Varennes. A Gallo-Roman villa, most of which has disappeared, has yielded an abundance of material: sigillata and everyday pottery, amphorae, painted vases of the Roanne type.
