SARINASUF (“Ad Stoma”) Dobrudja, Romania.

On the N side of Lake Razelm an indigenous settlement (6th-4th c. B.C.). It developed under the influence of Histria, being perhaps on its territory. The excavations have revealed dwellings and pottery fragments which clarify the role of Greek influence in the formation of the Thracian-Getic civilization. Nearby were found many ruins of stone buildings, coins from the 2d c. B.C., and inscriptions. The settlement has been identified tentatively with Ad Stoma (Tab. Peut. 8.4).
