ἐᾶσθαι, pass., as Tr. 329 δ᾽ οὖν ἐάσθω”: Thuc. 1.142ἐασόμενοι”: Eur. I. A. 331ἐάσομαι”: I. T. 1344ἐώμενος”: etc. The midd. of “ἐάω” is not classical.

πόλιν: so in Ant. 776ὅπως μίασμα πᾶσ᾽ ὑπεκφύγῃ πόλις”, it is implied that the whole State may be polluted by an act of the king.
