λοχῶσιν: El. 490 “ἁ δεινοῖς κρυπτομένα λόχοις χαλκόπους Ἐρινύς.” Ἅιδου καὶ θεῶν, possess. gen.; the Erinyes are their ministers, avenging their wrongs: so oft. “πατρός, μητρός, Ἐρινύες”. In El. 112 the Erinyes are “σεμναὶ...θεῶν παῖδες.” ληφθῆναι, inf. of result: cp. 64 “ἀκούειν”. The omission of “ὥστε” is somewhat bold, since the subject of the inf. is not that of “λοχῶσιν”. Cp. O. C. 385 “ἐμοῦ θεοὺς ι ὤραν τιν᾽ ἕξειν ὥστε σωθῆναί ποτε”.
