‘Yes, (you have done it,) and that, too, at the cost of betraying,’ etc. The particle γε implies the contradiction, “ἐποίησας”: καὶ ταῦτα goes with the participle (προδούς): cp. O.T. 37, El. 614τὴν τεκοῦσαν ὕβρισεν, καὶ ταῦτα τηλικοῦτος”. So Lat., “hominem . . studiis optimis deditum, idque a puero” ( Cic. Fam. 13. 16).
