τὰ δείν᾽ἔπη, ‘those dread threats’ (which still haunt my memory): cp. 650, 1226: Soph. Ph. 180ποῦ δ̓, ὃς τὰ δεινὰ τῇδ᾽ ἐφυβρίζει πόλει Καπανεύς;” ‘those dread vaunts’ (of which we have heard). See Soph. Tr. 476, and Appendix there, p. 192.
