ἵκῃ πρὸς τοῦτο, i.e. “πρὸς τὸ μαθεῖν”. Cp. 1365. δεῖ σ᾽ ὅπως … δείξεις: see on Ph. 54 f. “τὴν Φιλοκτήτου σε δεῖ ι ψυχὴν ὅπως λόγοισιν ἐκκλέψεις λέγων.— ᾿τράφης” suggests the inbred qualities of the race; cp. Ph. 3“κρατίστου πατρὸς Ἑλλήνων τραφείς”. For the prodelision of the augment in the 6th foot of the v., cp. Ant. 457“᾿φάνη”: Helen. 263 (“εἴθε”) “αἴσχιον εἶδος ἀντὶ τοῦ καλοῦ ᾿λαβον”.
