ἔλθετ᾽ ἐπήλυδες: cp. 1222: Suppl. 388 “παλίσσυτος” | “στεῖχ̓”: Legg. 879 D “νεήλυδος ἀφιγμένου”. The adj. here=‘coming back’ (answering to “ἐπανέρχομαι” rather than “ἐπέρχομαι”): yet αὖθις need not be regarded as redundant (like “ἀρτίως” with “νεοσφαγής” in Tr. 1130); for they had once before been on the point of departing (1070). Elsewhere “ἔπηλυς” always=advena.
