ἔστω. Wecklein reads “ἴτω”, which is the fitter word where bold indifference to possible consequences is declared (cp. 120 n., and O. T. 1458“ἀλλ᾽ ἡ μὲν ἡμῶν μοῖῤ, ὅποιπερ εἶς᾿, O. T. i῎τω”). But the calmer word “ἔστω” is more dignified and more effective here. Cp. O. C. 1205“ἔστω δ᾽ οὖν ὅπως ὑμῖν φίλον”.
