γέ τοι, as O. C. 1324, Ai. 534, Tr. 1212: “γέ τοι δή”, O. T. 1171.Here “γέ τοι” is like “γοῦν”, i.e., it gives a reason for their belief. (Cp. 767.) ‘He seems likely to fall asleep soon, since (“γάρ”) his head is sinking back; at any rate, a sweat is certainly breaking out,’ etc.
