AELII, DOMUS
a small house (domuncula: Val.
Max. iv. 4. 8; Plut. Aem. 5;
Jord. i. 2. 45;
ii. 520-523), perhaps on the Esquiline, near the
MARIANA
MONUMENTA (q.v.), which was occupied by sixteen Aelii at once about
the middle of the second century B.C. (cf.
BC 1914, 360-361).
