a shrine that Tullus Hostilius is said to have
vowed at the critical moment when the Albans deserted the Romans in
the battle against the Veientes and Fidenates (Liv. i. 27. 7). There
is no other mention made of this shrine,1 which probably never existed
at all (WR 149; Rosch. iii. 1341-1342).
