opposite the
NAVALIA (q.v.), that were said to have belonged to
L. Quinctius Cincinnatus (
Liv. iii. 13. 10; 26. 8; Fest. 256; Plin.

xviii. 20;
RhM 1891, 128). Part of this area was probably open during
the early empire, as the name was still in use (see also
VATICANUS AGER,
VICUS RACILIANI).
