SIGILLARIA

a quarter in Rome where the sigillaria, or small images used as presents on the last days of the Saturnalia (also called Sigillaria), were made and sold (Gell. ii. 3. 5; v. 4. I; Suet. Claud. 5 1; Nero 28. 2; Dig. xxxii. 102. I). Its location is unknown.

1 Cf. also ib. 16. 4. Gellius refers to it also as a place where books were sold.
