TRIGARIUM
an open space where horses were exercised, originally no
doubt in teams of three, trigae (Philox. Gloss. CGI.
Lat. ii. 200 :
trigarium
τόπος ὅπου ἵπποι γυμνάζονται; Plin.

(Not. Reg. IX), between the stadium of Domitian and the Tiber (
