[409] ἐτέλεσσα (see critical note). Cp. Od.7. 325, where “τέλεσσαν” means ‘completed their journey,’ being parallel to “ἀπήνυσαν” in the following line. λαῖτμα is then directly governed by “διατμήξας”, as “λαῖτμα διέτμαγον Od.7. 276.Cp. also Od.15. 294νηῦς ἀνύσειε θέουσα θαλάσσης ἁλμυρὸν ὕδωρ”.
