[382] κηώεντι: apparently from *“κῆϝος” = incense (“καίω”), i.e. fragrant, cf. “κηώδης6.483. But the tautology “ἐυώδεϊ, κηώεντι”, has led some to derive it from *“καϝος” = cavus, as if = ‘vaulted.’
