ἀτελευτήτωι ἐπὶ ἔργωι: so Od. 16.111 “ἀνηνύστωι ἐπὶ ἔργωι”, and 178 below, “ἐπὶ πᾶσι” ‘in all cases.’ This use of “ἐπί” is more common in Attic, e.g. Soph. O. C. 1554 “ἐπ᾽ εὐπραξίαι μέμνησθέ μου” , Soph. Ant. 556 “ἐπ᾽ ἀρρήτοις λόγοις” ‘with words unsaid,’ Eur. Ion 228 “ἐπ᾽ ἀσφάκτοις μήλοισι.” “ἐπ᾽ ἀρωγῆι,” 23.574 , is similar.
