Λύκειον [υ^], τό,
A.the Lyceum, a gymnasium at Athens, named after the neighbouring temple of Apollo Λύκειος, Ar.Pax356, X.HG1.1.33: a resort of Socrates, Pl.Euthphr.2a, Euthd.271a; here Aristotle used to discourse, whence his disciples were called Λύκειοι Περιπατητικοί, Elias in Cat.112.31.
