ἁνδάνω [δα^], impf. ἥνδανον, Ep. ἑήνδανον, in Ion. Prose

Ant.89: Later, aor. 1 “ἧσαPlot.2.3.7:—please, delight, gratify, mostly Ion. and poet., used like ἥδομαι, except as to construction: mostly c. dat. pers., Od.2.114, Pi.P.1.29, Hdt.5.39: also c. dupl. dat., “Ἀγαμέμνονι ἥνδανε θυμῷIl.1.24, cf. Od.16.28; “εἴ σφωϊν κραδίη ἅδοι20.327; Πηνελοπείῃ ἥνδανε μύθοισι pleased her with words, 16.398:—in ἁδόντα δ᾽ εἴη με τοι<*>ς ἀγαθοῖς ὁμιλεῖν the dat. belongs both to the part. and to the inf., Pi.P.2.96: abs., “τοῖσι δὲ πᾶσιν ἑαδότα μῦθον ἔειπεIl.9.173, Od.18.422: c.acc., v. dub. in Thgn.26, E.Or.1607, both prob. corrupt readings.
