II. giving no gifts, c. gen., ἄ. τινος not giving it, Pl.Smp. 197d; ἀ. ἐλαφαβολίαις by hunting from which no gifts were offered, S.Aj.177 (lyr.); miserly, Aret.SD1.5.
III. ἄδωρα δῶρα gifts that are no gifts, like βίος ἀβίωτος, S.Aj.665.
