ἄφθον-ος , ον,
A.without envy: hence,
I. Act., free from envy, Pi.O.6.7; “ἄνδρα τύραννον ἄ. ἔδει εἶναι” Hdt.3.80, cf. Pl.R.500a. Adv. “-νως” Id.Lg.731a.
2. ungrudging, bounteous, of earth, “ἄφθονε δαῖμον” h.Hom.30.16; ἀφθόνῳ μένει, ἀφθόνῳ χερί, A.Ag.305, E.Med.612; “ἀ. λειμῶνες” Pl.Sph.222a, cf. Ax.371c.
II. more freq.
