ΧίουAct.Ap.20.15, cf. PTeb.395.4(ii A.D.), etc.—Gramm. distinguish ἀντικρύ, = ἐξ ἐναντίας, and ἄντικρυς, = φανερῶς, διαρρήδην, cf. AB408, but ἀντικρύ (q.v.) has both senses in Hom. (-κρυς) prob. akin to κέρας, κάρα.
