Ant.1169; “. ἀπὸ τῶν ἰδίωνTh.1.141: c. dat., “φίλοισινE.Med.179 (lyr.), cf. Tr.393, Hdt.4.1, Th.2.61, etc.: but mostly,
2. abs., to be away or absent, and of things, to be wanting, οἵ τ᾽ ὄντες οἵ τ᾽ ἀπόντες, i.e. all that are, every one, S.Ant.1109; “τὰς οὔσας τέ μου καὶ τὰς ἀπούσας ἐλπίδαςId.El.306; of the dead, v.l. in E.Hec.312; τοῦ θεοῦ ἀπεόντος the god not being counted, Hdt.6.53:—in 3pl. impf., ἀπῆσαν and ἀπῇσαν are freq. confused in codd., as in Th.4.42.
