A.unapproachable, always with a notion of terrible, monstrous, Hes.Op.148, Th.151; “. πῦρPi.P.1.21 (whence it must be restored for ἀπλήστου in A.Pr.373); ὀφίων κεφαλαί, Τυφών, Pi.P.12.9,Fr.93; “ἜχιδναB.5.62, cf. 12.51; “θρέμμαS.Tr.1093; “αἶσαId.Aj.256 (lyr.); “ἄπλατον ἀξύμβλητον ἐξεθρεψάμηνId.Fr.387.—In many places ἄπλαστος is a v.l., Id.Aj.256, E.Med.151 (lyr.); cf. ἄπληστος.
