2. think fit, expect, consent, resolve, etc., and so in various senses, ἀξιῶ θανεῖν I consent to die, S.OT944, etc.; dare,ἀξιῶσαι μάχην συνάψαιA.Pers.335; deign to do, “εἴ τις ἀξιοῖ μαθεῖνId.Ag.1661, cf.
