ἀδάκρ-υ_τος , ον,
A.without tears:
I. Act., tearless, “ἀ. καὶ ἀπήμων” Il.1.415, cf. Od.24.61; “ἀδακρύτω ἔχεν ὄσσε” 4.186; ἀστένακτος κἀ. S.Tr.1200; εὐνάζειν ἀ. βλεφάρων πόθον so that they weep not, ib.106 (lyr.):—Medic., ἀ. ὀφθαλμός abnormally dry, Aet. 7.91.
2. c.gen., not weeping for, “τινός” Epigr.Gr.241a13.
II. Pass., unwept, S.Ant.881 (lyr.).
2. costing no tears, “τρόπαια” Plu. Tim. 37.
